DAWN
We are living through exponential times. This is probably the most fascinating era in the history of the human race because we can clearly see the link between an arithmetical past and the exponential present times leading to a future which is full of amazing possibilities. Everything is moving very fast these days. Furthermore, the speed of change is clearly increasing day after day. In other words, regardless of political, economic and social circumstances, scientific and technological growth has been steady since the Renaissance and now is moving towards what Kurtzweil calls the technological singularity, that is is the theoretical emergence of superintelligence through technological means.
Since the capabilities of such intelligence would be difficult for an
unaided human mind to comprehend, the technological singularity is seen
as an occurrence beyond which events cannot be predicted. What's next?
